Opposites do Attract!!

We first met on 14th July 2008(Yes it was love at first sight). We both worked in the same office under the same profile to be precise. I remember me and Kunal staring at each other throughout our induction. We just couldn’t take our eyes off each other. 3 months passed into training which was more of fun ad less work. But thanks to our respective ego and attitude, we both didn’t initiate a conversation all that time but we clearly knew of what was happening in each other’s lives. It was on one of those fun days, when Kunal actually confessed in front of 30 odd people that he had a crush on me. I was surprised he he took my name because even then he didn’t bother talking to me.

 Then came the day when it was my last day in office. I desperately wanted him to talk to me, because I knew from here I may never see him again. But he never really spoke that day until he got to know about my last day. He called me the next morning at around 5:00 am and from there started what we may have have always predicted. We spoke for hours and gradually realized that we were 2 different people. He loved partying and I was an indoor baby.  His mantra was “work hard.. party harder” and my mantra was “work hard..party later” Things initially were like it should have been-rosy-rosy and lovey-dovey. But as we dived deep into the relation and as time passed, we did face many problems and that is when we realized love is more about finding happiness in others. We had almost given up since Kunal was nothing without his friends and I was nothing without family This difference led to many arguments and fights and we stopped talking for months. That distance gave gave us both, time to realize that we were nothing without each other basically. From that day on till today, we have done everything possible for this relation to work. All the fights have been  worth after all.

Our 1st day was at Mc Donalds filed with boisterous kids thanks to whom we couldn’t exchange a quality conversation. But even today we smile at the name of Mc Donald.

Kunal has been the best as a boyfriend and I know he’ll be the super-best husband too.There are many things that he has done to make me feel special like sending a card and bouquet on just an odd day to my work place to lighten my work stress, giving foot massage, getting me spa / parlour appointment, always taking me for shopping, buying me what I always wanted, being there whenever I needed him the most and many such things. For me among all this the best was when he lit candles in the entire house for me. There is nothing that I dislike in him, everything is perfect and the imperfections are perfectly handled by us. I feel so proud to have him in my life and I really hope-Priya and Kunal-these names are always imbibed together in the book of love. Our efforts have been on par in terms of everything from trust to time. And I am glad that after a courtship of 5.6 years, we will now tie the know on Dec 12th 2013. We both are shyly inching towards this big day!
